Lita Comments On WWE Future Following Elimination Chamber

Speaking after her clash with Becky Lynch at Elimination Chamber, Lita has addressed her in-ring future.

On February 19th at Elimination Chamber, Lita wrestled her first singles match since she ended her full-time WWE career in 2006. Despite this, her bout with Becky Lynch was highly praised, with Lita breaking out some new moves and looking like she never left.

Although Lita pushed Lynch all of the way, the veteran was eventually defeated. After the match she soaked in the acclaim from the crowd, with many suggesting that she appeared to be saying goodbye.

Posting on social media after the event, the WWE Hall of Famer remained coy about her future as she thanked fans for their support. She added that if that was to be her final match, she’s proud of what she achieved.

” What an experience. It’s hard to put into words everything I’ve felt these past few weeks. But I can say the support I’ve received from all of you has touched me deeply. I thank you so much for the time you took to cheer me on, and the faith you had in me to get back in the ring. To the women currently grinding on the road to keep raising the bar, you inspire me daily. If this was the end, I am so proud. If it is not, I will arrive more prepared, train harder, and find a way to dig deeper…”

Speaking ahead of the event, Lita had said there were no plans to continue in her role following her match with Lynch, although she did admit that plans can change.

At the 2022 Royal Rumble, Lita returned to competition for the first time since October 2018. Although she was ultimately unsuccessful in her quest to the women’s Royal Rumble match, her performance drew praise across the board on social media.

Appearing on the following episode of Monday Night Raw, the WWE Hall of Famer crossed paths with Becky Lynch. Lita then challenged the Raw Women’s Champion to a match at Elimination Chamber.
