Lita has shared footage of her practicing her iconic moonsault ahead of her in-ring return at the Royal Rumble.
On January 29th at the Royal Rumble Lita will wrestle in a WWE ring for the first time since 2018. During that most recent mini-run she competed in that year’s Royal Rumble before wrestling in tag team matches at WWE Evolution and the following episode of Monday Night Raw.
Ahead of stepping back inside the ropes, the WWE Hall of Famer has shared footage of a training session involving her now iconic moonsault. 20 years ago, in an era where female Superstars weren’t particularly known for their athletic abilities, Lita became known for her high-flying move-set which included a moonsault.
Posting on social media, the star shared a clip of her perfecting the move once again ahead of her latest comeback.
Lita returned to WWE television on the January 14th episode of SmackDown. On the show, the former Women’s Champion said that she felt she had one more good run left in here. At this she was interrupted by SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair. However, it was the veteran who emerged with the upper hand, dropping Flair with a Twist of Fate.
Meanwhile, it was recently reported that the WWE legend previously held talks with AEW. The two sides spoke in 2021 but were unable to come to terms on an agreement. One pitch involved in the potential deal would have seen Lita clash with AEW Women’s World Champion Britt Baker.
It has also been confirmed that fellow Hall of Famer’s the Bella Twins will be entering the match, while Summer Rae will also be back in action. The most surprisingly inclusion in the match to date is that of Mickie James. The former Women’s Champion was released by the company back in April 2021 and is the reigning IMPACT Knockouts Champion.
