Lio Rush has been cast in an unknown role in the upcoming Power Rangers inspired movie which he revealed is to be called, ‘Legend of the White Dragon.’

Appearing on the Wrestling Inc. Daily Podcast, the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion made the exciting announcement which is sure to thrill wrestling and 90’s pop culture fans of all ages.

From indie-producers Bat in the Sun, who churn out many high quality and dark Batman and Power Ranger fan-movies, ‘Legend of the White Dragon’ is set to be a reunion movie featuring several members of the original Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers cast.

One name confirmed to return is Power Rangers legend Jason David Frank who originally played Tommy the White and Green Ranger in the first three series of the hit show in the early nineties. Frank has since gone on to appear in several other Power Ranger series and spin-off movies.

Questioned about his upcoming projects, Rush had this to enthusiastically say:

“You can download my new single that dropped on Friday, ‘Do You Remember’. It can be downloaded and streamed on Apple Music, on Spotify [and] anywhere that music can be streamed or downloaded. And be on the lookout for big projects to come in the future as well as the new upcoming film that I’m going to be a part of, ‘Legend of the White Dragon’, which I’m pretty excited about.

It is actually a Power Rangers movie, so it’s kung-fu times 100. They’re still casting. I’m just part of the cast. We haven’t gotten who’s going to be who yet, but I will be in the movie. There’s a chance [I could be a Power Ranger].”

Lio Rush was recently announced to be part of MLW The Restart which held sixteen television tapings several weeks ago and will return to screens on November 18.
