Lince Dorado Wins Gold In BJJ Tournament [VIDEO]

Lince Dorado walks to ring

Recently released WWE Superstar Lince Dorado has not taken a break following his release from WWE, instead entering, and winning gold, at the Jiu-Jitsu World League Florida Open.

Lince Dorado was one of 18 WWE Superstars released from their contracts on November 4th. Dorado first appeared in WWE in 2016, taking part in the Cruiserweight Classic. He was eliminated from the competition in the second round by Rich Swann, signing a contract with WWE a month later.

The high-flyer initially formed part of the Cruiserweight division, before forming Lucha House Party alongside Kalisto and Gran Metalik, all of whom have now been released from WWE.

Rather than taking time off following his departure from WWE, on November 6th Dorado entered a Jiu-Jitsu tournament as part of the Jiu-Jitsu World League Florida Open. Not only that, but he revealed that he won gold at the event.

Taking to Twitter, the former WWE 24/7 Champion shared a video of one of the bouts he was part of and thanked his family and fans for pushing him. Among those congratulating him on the victory were WWE’s Angelo Dawkins, Ricochet, and MVP.

I want to thank my family and fans for helping me push myself. I’d also love to thank ME for always believing in myself. I had one goal today and that was to win at all cost. Don’t tap mentality. I didn’t have to. Love my life and myself.

Besides taking part in the tournament itself, Lince Dorado had also challenged Cody Silagyi, the father of wrestling personality Izzy, to meet him at the arena after Silagyi posted on social media mocking him for being released writing, “ Good Luck in your future endeavors,” with a smiley face emoji.
