WWE Ring Announcer, Lilian Garcia revealed the best advice that WWE Chairman, Vince McMahon ever gave her on WWE Network show, The Bump.
Garcia, whose podcast Chasing Glory is set to debut on the WWE Network on October 26, revealed that she is often her own worst critic and that McMahon gave her sage advice to overcome her fears:
“One of the things I remember about Vince is him telling me not to take myself too seriously,” she recalled. “I would be so into wanting to be perfect; if something didn’t go right, I would beat myself up. I remember I was in the back and he came up to me – I didn’t realize I messed up on something. When he told me about it, I started to tear up. He told me, ‘Hey Lil, relax. I just want to make you better, so I’m going to give you some advice.’ That really did stick with me. I started taking things less personally.”
Garcia debuted on WWE television back in 1999 and left in 2010. She has made sporadic returns in the last decade. Garcia is well renowned for her singing performances, often providing renditions of ‘America the Beautiful’ and ‘The Star Spangled Banner’ at live events.
The 54-year-old announced Chasing Glory, which debuted in 2017, was coming to the WWE Network on October 19, via her Twitter page.
