Lex Luger has once again commented on the possibility of having Sting be one of the names to induct him into the WWE Hall of Fame.
Back in early March, Lex Luger was announced as an inductee in the 2025 Hall of Fame class. Set to appear in Las Vegas over WrestleMania weekend, The Total Package has stated in multiple interviews that his dream scenario would be to have both Sting and Diamond Dallas Page accompany him onstage at the ceremony. However, as Sting is currently under contract with AEW, The Icon appearing on WWE TV is not as straightforward.
In a new interview with Bill Apter of Sportskeeda, Luger stated that he hasn’t heard an answer back from the promotion yet but is also aware that Sting making an appearance is not straightforward:
“I ran it by WWE guys, Triple H’s right-hand man. He goes, ‘I know what you’re going to ask. I’ll have to run that up the flagpole, but man, I don’t know.’ And I haven’t had an answer back on that, but obviously, maybe selfishly—somewhat selfishly—I think it’d be great for the fans too.”
“WWE may allow him up there, but he would also have to have permission from Tony Khan and AEW. So there’s a lot of moving parts there. But ideally, obviously, I would love to see both those guys up there with me. That would be huge for me and I think it’d be special for the fans too.”
Lex Luger Calls For Another Legend To Receive Hall Of Fame Induction
When it was announced that Luger would receive his Hall of Fame induction at WrestleMania 41, many felt that the news was both well-deserved and long overdue. During the same interview, Lex Luger called for another overlooked legend to receive their own Hall of Fame induction.
In other news, Triple H compared the John Cena heel turn to that of an iconic movie villain.
