The Rock will be hosting a special segment on a future episode of WWE SmackDown.
Ever since The People’s Champion made his return to the company back in January, Rock has peppered in some of the greatest hits from his iconic career. On top of the classic chants and signature insults, The Great One has tapped into his previous heel runs as Corporate Rock and Hollywood Rock by using his name power and power on the TKO Board of Directors to try and get what he wants at the behest of Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins. According to a new report, another classic segment is set to make a return very soon.
As reported by WrestleVotes, “The Rock Concert” is set to return on the March 15th episode of SmackDown and has been in the works for weeks:
According to sources, the much-anticipated return of ‘The Rock Concert’ could light up next week’s SmackDown, live from Memphis, TN. I’m told this idea has been brewing for weeks, with a possible announcement of it tonight on SD.
The famous musical segments have seen The Great One sing songs to the hometown and members of the roster, mostly at their own expense. Many still have a fondness for the first concert in Sacramento, California in 2003, which would be interrupted by Steve Austin:

When all is said and done on the March 8th episode of SmackDown, it is expected that Rock’s return to the ring will be made official, which will see the former World Champion team with Roman Reigns to take on Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes. According to a new report, there is a push within WWE to have The Rock compete in at least one more match, especially if it involves an international event.
