A legendary 7-time WWE Tag Team Champions reunited after a decade in an emotional moment.

At AEW Dynamite, Cope (fka Edge) faced Stokely Hathaway in a singles match, with FTR being barred from the ringside as a result of their restraining order on The Rated R Superstar.

Cope toyed with Hathaway by waylaying him all over the arena and even mocking him with the help of the Cincinnati, Ohio crowd. Having seen enough, FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) tried helping their manager by storming to the ring and daring the former WWE Champion.

Harwood and Wheeler’s interference allowed Hathaway to spray a powder on Cope who was about to spear him. The trio then ganged up on The Rated-R Superstar, indicating that the restraining order had been lifted.

As FTR tried to injure Cope once again, Christian Cage surprisingly appeared to save his long-time partner. The Father of the Year used his big spiked bat to chase away Harwood, Wheeler, and Hathaway.

Legendary WWE Tag Team Edge and Christian Reunite on AEW Dynamite After 14 years

After Christian Cage evened the odds for Cope, his former “son” Nick Wayne tried to hit him with a steel chair, but it was countered with the spike. Kip Sabian tried his luck on hitting Christian with a chair but got speared by The Rated-R Superstar for his troubles.

When the chaos mellowed, Cope and Christian had a standoff. The Father of the Year gave his spike to the former Edge to seemingly abide by the latter’s advice to go find himself.

Cope pulled back Christian and proceeded to give him a big hug to signal their reunion after almost a decade and a half, much to the delight of AEW fans in Cincinnati, Ohio. It can be remembered that their last official match as a tag team was on March 28, 2011, episode of WWE RAW, when they beat Alberto Del Rio (now Alberto El Patron) and Brodus Clay (now Tyrus). The stars are a legendary name in the tag team world and have won seven tag titles together in WWE.

For the first time in 14 years, Cope and Christian will be in a tag team match at AEW Forbidden Door 2025. They will face the latter’s former teammates, The Matriarchy (Nick Wayne and Kip Sabian).
