The ratings are in for the Tuesday May 18th episode of NXT.

As noted by Bryan Alvarez 700,000 people tuned in to the black and gold brand.

This is slightly up on the previous week where the show pulled in 679,000 fans.

By comparison, the episode of AEW Dynamite from May 12th, drew 936,000 viewers, with a 0.31 rating in the key 18-49 year old demographic. The rating meant that AEW were the number one ranked show on cable for the first time in their history.

The latest episode of NXT saw Bronson Reed claim the NXT North American Championship.

Reed survived attempted interference from Garagano’s partner in The Way, Austin Theory, on his way to claiming his first title on the black and gold brand. Reed hit Gargano with a splash as the first NXT Triple Crown winner was attempting to crawl to the cage door and escape. Bronson Reed then followed that up with a huge splash from the top turnbuckle for the pin-fall victory.

Meanwhile Sarray continued her undefeated streak since joining NXT seeing off Aliyah. The Warrior of the Sun has been in impressive form since signing with the black and gold brand and dispatched Aliyah with minimal fuss.

Earlier in the night Ted DiBiase and Cameron Grimes came face to face. With Grimes zeroing in on victory over Jake Atlas, DiBiase hit the ring to distract ‘the richest man in NXT.’ This allowed Atlas stack up Grimes and pick up the win. While Grimes made a B-line for DiBase after the match, the Hall of Famer returned to his limo just in time, taunting Grimes in classic “Million Dollar Man” style.

The show had kicked off with Toni Storm picking up a win over Zoey Stark. Storm debuted a new finishing move to dispatch her rival.
