WWE has provided an update on Damian Priest‘s health.
It has been a week since Damian Priest was beaten and brutalized on WWE SmackDown. The former World Heavyweight Champion had a match with Aleister Black that ended in disqualification, after the latter attacked him with a steel chair.
Unfortunately for Priest, Black was not satisfied with hitting him across the head. What followed after the chair shot was tough to watch, as the Harbinger of Fury did not hold back. He continued to assault El Campeon with the steel chair before ultimately throwing him into the steel steps and hitting him with a Black Mass.
Since then, fans have been concerned about Damian Priest’s health. Well, on tonight’s episode of SmackDown, WWE provided an update on the same in a message that was ironically delivered by the very man who injured him, Aleister Black.
In a short vignette, Black explained the reason behind his vicious attack, and while doing so, he revealed that he had given the Archer of Infamy a hairline fracture to the jaw.

So far, there has been no update as to when he is expected to return. However, it’s safe to assume that when he does return, he will be gunning for Aleister Black.
Damian Priest had his eye on Jacob Fatu before the injury
Prior to his feud with Aleister Black and the injury, Damian Priest seemed focused on Jacob Fatu. The Archer of Infamy showed interest in the Samoan Werewolf back when the latter was the United States Champion.
The title aside, he felt that Fatu was being held back by Solo Sikoa and the rest of the then New Bloodline. He was proved right, as Sikoa later betrayed his cousin, but from the way he spoke, it was almost as if Priest wanted to form an alliance.
It would’ve been interesting to see Priest and Fatu on the same side. Hopefully, that is an idea WWE can explore sometime further down the line.
