Here is the latest update on AJ Styles’ WWE career.
The Phenomenal One was last seen on television during his Clash at the Castle match against Cody Rhodes in Scotland on 15th June 2024. Since his loss to Rhodes, Styles has been performing only at house shows, and at one Pro Wrestling NOAH match.
A recent report from Fightful Select shared a few details on Styles’ current status with the Stamford-based promotion. It noted that the former World Champion is perfectly healthy and not nursing any injury. He is just not being used on television, although is extremely active on the live shows.
Styles wrestled five straight world title matches against The American Nightmare, and also actively worked last month’s Japan tour.
Will AJ Styles Wrestle More Matches In Japan?
Apart from last month’s Japanese tour, Styles also wrestled a crossover match with Pro Wrestling NOAH in the land of the rising sun. However, during one of WWE’s YouTube videos, AJ Styles hinted that this might be his last tour of Japan.
Styles has a rich history and connection with the country, and he declared:
If you don’t know already, when I’m in Japan, ever since I was with the Bullet Club, I had a mask made for the big shows of the year, and now it’s tradition that I have a mask when I walk out (in Japan). This possibly could be the last one you see on AJ Styles, so let’s get it.”
