Good news for WWE fans awaiting the next video game.
2024 has been a good year for the popular 2K franchise. Averaging 80% across PS5, Xbox and PC, critics have been impressed with what the game had to offer. Additionally, with the biggest roster in franchise history, a well-received showcase mode looking back at 40 years of WrestleMania and the return of popular stipulation matches, fans have also been happy with what the latest title has offered.
However, following the launch of the WCW DLC pack in November, no more content is set to be added to the game. With this in mind, fans are now awaiting news for WWE 2K25, which is likely to be released around WrestleMania 41 given the previous release dates.
In an update by Mike Johnson of PWInsider, development for WWE 2K25 is said to be “well underway”, but no announcements are expected until the new year.
The first announcement is expected to confirm the cover star, release update and what fans can expect in the deluxe versions. Cody Rhodes was the cover star for WWE 2K24 standard edition with Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair being featured on the cover of the deluxe editions.

The latest update confirmed where the WWE Raw on Netflix premiere will be taking place along with a special guest that will be in attendance.
