The ratings for the April 21st episode of AEW Dynamite have been revealed.
As reported by ShowBuzzDaily, AEW drew in 1.104 million viewers, with a 0.37 rating in the 18-49 year old demographic.
This is a figure is a slight drop from the previous week where Dynamite had 1.219 million viewers.
By comparison the April 20th episode of NXT pulled in 841,000 viewers, With a 0.23 rating in the key 18-49 year-old demographic.
The latest episode of AEW Dynamite saw Darby Allin retain his TNT Championship in a thrilling main event against Jungle Boy. The match itself was a fast-paced, hard-hitting affair from start to finish. Both men flew around the ring putting their bodies on the line time and time again. Allin finally finally gained the upper hand after raking Jungle Boy’s eyes to escape the Snare Trap. The champion then quickly pounced with a Last Supper roll-up.
Elsewhere on the show, Hikaru Shida defeated Tay Conti to retain her AEW Women’s World Title. Shida’s long reign was in jeopardy on multiple occasions, with the champion kicking out of the Tay-KO late in the match. However, Shida finally gained the upper hand with a vicious backbreaker before hitting the Katana. At the end of the match Britt Baker appeared on the ramp letting the world know that she is now the number one ranked woman in the company.
Outside of the two headline matches, Christian Cage picked up another win, while Hangman Page also continued his winning run defeating Ricky Starks.
