After sixteen months, Lars Sullivan made his return to WWE during the first night of the 2020 WWE Draft on Friday Night SmackDown.
During an already jam packed episode filled with brand switches, Hell in a Cell announcements and new designations for trusted names, Sullivan – one of the names not seeded in the Draft Pool – stormed to the squared circle following a tag team outing which saw Jeff Hardy and Matt Riddle defeat The Miz and John Morrison and laid waste to all involved.
Accompanied by new theme music, Lars Sullivan destroyed Hardy and Riddle before turning his maniacal rage to The Miz who he dropped with a thunderous Freak Accident.
Sullivan’s return to WWE opens many doors for the blue brand where storylines and rivalries are concerned with the potential for feuds now limitless.
Lars has been absent from WWE television since June 2019 when he suffered a severe knee injury shortly after his call-up from NXT. However, this summer it was reported that the powerhouse was in training for his return.
The last time we saw Lars Sullivan in a WWE ring was when he defeated The Lucha House Party in a 3-on-1 Handicap Match on the June 10, 2019 Monday Night Raw. Now it appears that he’s exclusive property of the blue brand and looking to make the impact he never got the chance to make before.
