According to The Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE are planning a gigantic rivalry between Lars Sullivan and former WWE Universal Champion, Braun Strowman, within the next year.
The lengthily time frame is down to planning of the storyline as both men are now officially on different shows with Lars Sullivan being drafted to Friday Night SmackDown and Braun Strowman headed to Monday Night Raw in the recent 2020 WWE Draft.
It was said by Dave Meltzer that WWE see money in the tagline, ‘The Freak’ vs. ‘The Monster Among Men’.
Lars Sullivan returned to WWE on the October 9 WWE Friday Night SmackDown and immediately asserted his dominance when he attacked Jeff Hardy, Matt Riddle and The Miz at the culmination of their tag team outing.
Since then, Lars has caused chaos within the roster and again targeted the trio on the second night of the draft on the October 12 Monday Night Raw. The outcome of that ambush will see Sullivan battle Jeff Hardy this coming Friday in Jeff’s final night on the blue brand after being drafted to Raw.
Braun Strowman will also make his final SmackDown appearance this Friday when he challenges Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship. When he returns to his new home on Raw, the monster will resume his rivalry with Keith Lee.
