Laredo Kid Making AEW Return In Trios Match With The Lucha Brothers

Laredo Kid Making AEW Return

Laredo Kid is finally making his AEW return, his first appearance since Fyter Fest 2019! The AAA star will team with The Lucha Brothers.

The high-flying luchador will compete in trios action against The Young Bucks and Brandon Cutler on the next edition of Dynamite. Laredo Kid’s only previous AEW appearance was also in a trios match. Replacing PAC, who had to pull out of the event, he teamed with The Lucha Brothers in a losing effort against Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks.

AEW owner Tony Khan announced on Twitter that PAC is currently recovering from an ankle injury. He and Rey Fenix earned an AEW World Tag Team Championship opportunity at Revolution. However, with PAC unable to compete, ‘Death Triangle are bringing back the Lucha Brothers’ original AEW Trios partner Laredo Kid to get the edge ahead of the title match!’

Laredo Kid has history with The Elite beyond their match at Fyter Fest 2019. At AAA Triplemania XXVIII last December he challenged Kenny Omega for the AAA Mega Championship. Despite coming close to capturing the gold, an avalanche One-Winged Angel from ‘The Best Bout Machine’ ultimately put Laredo Kid away for the three count.

Of course, Kenny Omega may soon add a third World Championship to his collection. It was recently announced that he will challenge Rich Swann at IMPACT’s Rebellion pay-per-view. Adding to the stakes, the match will be title vs. title. Should Laredo Kid stay in AEW for a while, he may earn himself another opportunity to take some of Omega’s gold.

Along with Laredo Kid making his AEW return, Dynamite will feature matches such as Tay Conti vs. Nyla Rose, Matt Sydal vs. Kenny Omega and Darby Allin vs. John Silver for the TNT Championship. ITR provides weekly live coverage of the show.
