Lance Archer has returned to AEW with a brand-new look but the same attitude.
On the February 24th edition of Dynamite, Archer returned to the company after three-month absence alongside Jake Roberts.
Archer came out with a whole new look, having trimmed his signature braided ponytail into a much shorter style and dying his hair white to go with his new attire.
The match itself saw Archer make short work of Bryce Saturn. saturn attempted to attack the star on the ramp, but that proved to be a mistake as Archer threw him back in the ring.
He then Suplexed Saturn across the ring, and brutalised him with strikes. Saturn came back with some strikes of his own, but Archer absorbed it all and hit a huge Lariat for the victory.
Lance Archer was last seen in AEW in November
Archer was last in action on AEW TV on the November 18th Rampage. There he lost to Ricky Starks in the first round of the World Title Eliminator Tournament.
Following the loss, he returned to New Japan Pro Wrestling – where he spent much of the second half of 2022 – to take part in the World Tag League alongside Minoru Suzuki.
Despite being a formidable team, the pair were only able to score four victories in the 10-team tournament, ending in joint sixth place with Hiroshi Tanahashi and Toru Yano.
Archer also took part in the Road To Tokyo Dome tour which saw the dissolution of the Suzuki-Gun stable which he was part of for over a decade.
The group’s final match took place on December 23rd and saw them split into two teams of four to face off. Archer was on the side of Suzuki, El Desperado, and TAKA Michinoku, who lost to Zack Sabre Jr., Taichi, Yoshinobu Kanemaru, and DOUKI.
Afterwards, the members all spoke about their memories of the faction and posed behind the flag one last time.
