Lana Thanks Fans In Touching Message Following WWE Release

Lana has taken to social media to pen a touching message to fans following her departure from WWE.

The “Ravishing Russian” joined WWE in 2013, managing the man who would later become her husband Rusev. The man now known as Miro in AEW.

Following a successful stint alongside Rusev all the way to the upper echelons of the main roster, the star began to regularly appear as a wrestler. After Miro was released in 2019, Lana transitioned into a full-time in-ring performer, via a short lived storyline with Bobby Lashley.

In recent months Lana has formed with an alliance with Naomi with the pair attempting to win the Women’s Tag Team Championships.

In a recent interview, Naomi praised her partner, saying that “no one works harder.”

Lana’s final WWE appearance came on the May 31st episode of RAW, where along with Naomi the pair lost a number one contenders match for the Women’s Tag Team Titles.

Following the news of her release, Lana took to Twitter to thank her fans, saying that she always tried to entertain.

June 2nd saw numerous high profile releases as Aleister Black, Ruby Riott and Braun Strowman also departed the company.

As news of Ruby Riott’s release began to circulate, tributes poured in to the former WWE Superstar.

Indi Hartwell described Ruby Riott as a “lovely soul” while Liv Morgan said that any company who signs the star will be lucky to have her.

Posting her own reaction on Twitter, Bayley described how Riott was loved behind the scenes before calling her one of the “greatest wrestlers out there.”
