Miro hasn’t wrestled for AEW since teaming with Sting and Darby Allin to defeat the House of Black at All Out on September 4th. In fact, Miro has only wrestled four times in 2022 in total.
The star initially found success in WWE as Ruzev alongside his wife CJ Perry, known as Lana, between 2010 and 2020. During this period the pair became popular with fans, especially when teaming with Aiden English 2017 to create “Rusev Day.”
Miro Will Return To WWE
The team fell apart year later and Rusez was released by WWE in April 2020 before heading to AEW as Miro. However, his appearances in 2022 have been few and far between, with this most recent absence causing much speculation among fans. It was recently reported that Miro is ready to compete, but AEW simply have nothing for him creatively.
To add to the speculation that the star might not remain All Elite for much longer, Perry has tipped him to return to WWE. During an appearance on 92.7 WMAY, she noted that “everyone” returns to WWE.
“Well, you know, it so happens that the Redeemer is fighting on some battlefields against a couple of Gods,” said CJ. “Rusev Day will never die. It’s always going to be around, the kids are going to want to sing it and I’m sure it will make a return in WWE at some point.
Rusev — well, whatever he shows [up] back in; whatever frickin name or gimmick or character he returns [as] at some point, in WWE is going to be iconic. You know, he, that’s the great thing about wrestling is it doesn’t matter what company you work for, what promotion, anything can happen. Let’s be honest, we know that everyone always returns back to WWE at some point,”
Despite her husband’s release, CJ Perry remained with WWE until she was let go in June 2021. The star has yet to return to wrestling.
