Lacey Evans

Lacey Evans is reportedly heading back to SmackDown after a switch to Raw where she appeared in person only once.

In early April, vignettes began appearing on SmackDown where Lacey Evans debuted a new, more real-to life version of her character. Evans appeared in a number of short videos, where he detailed her struggles to get to WWE including being an abuse survivor. The presentation being vastly different to her previous ‘Southern Belle’ character.

On May 6th, Evans appeared in person and saluted the crowd before being moved to Raw the following week. On the red brand, Evans delivered an in-ring promo on May 16th, but didn’t appear the following weeks. However, it was announced that she would be making her first wrestling appearance on May 30th. Despite this, the star didn’t appear.

A new report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider has now suggested that Evans has been quietly moved back to SmackDown.

Over Memorial Day weekend, Lacey Evans appeared as the Grand Marshall of NASCAR’s Coca-Cola 600. Posting on social media, the military veteran said that she missed raw as she was “still recovering.”

Former NXT Superstar Lacey Evans hasn’t wrestled since February 15th 2021 where she teamed with Peyton Royce to take on Charlotte Flair and Asuka on an episode of Raw.

Shortly after this appearance, Evans announced that she was pregnant and as a result didn’t appear on WWE television for more than a year.

Lacey Evans signed with WWE in 2016, initially appearing in NXT and competing in the 2017 Mae Young Classic. She later became a regular feature on NXT, feuding with the likes of Kairi Sane and Dakota Kai. After losing out in her efforts to become number one contender for the NXT Women’s Championship later that year, Evans made her main roster debut in the 2019 Royal Rumble.
