Lacey Evans has attempted to shut down reports linking her with a return to action on Friday Night SmackDown.

On April 7th it was reported that former NXT and Monday Night Raw star Lacey Evans would be returning to WWE at the upcoming episode of Friday Night SmackDown.

However, the star herself has now attempted to dampen the speculation on social media. Posting on Instagram, Evans shared a photo of herself with her baby daughter in her local coffee shop with a caption poking fun at the reports of her supposed impending return.

At my local home town coffee shop…..I don’t know what the hell yall are talking about.

Lacey Evans signed with WWE in 2016, initially appearing in NXT and competing in the 2017 Mae Young Classic. In the tournament, Evans defeated now AEW star Tay Conti in the first round, before being beaten by new AEW signing Toni Storm in round two.

In 2018, Evans became a regular feature on NXT, feuding with the likes of Kairi Sane and Dakota Kai. After losing out in her efforts to become number one contender for the NXT Women’s Championship later that year, Evans made her main roster debut in the 2019 Royal Rumble.

At WWE Crown Jewel in 2019, Evans, alongside Natalya, became the first women to ever wrestle in Saudi Arabia.

After returning to the Raw brand in late 2020, Evans entered into a storyline with Ric and Charlotte Flair. In the angle, Ric Flair turned his back on Charlotte to align himself with Evans. However, the story was cut short after Evans announced that she was pregnant on February 15th.

As Evans began her time away from the ring it was revealed that the Superstar had been set to win the Raw Women’s Championship at Elimination Chamber, before carrying the belt into a huge showdown with Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania.

Back in October, Lacey Evans announced that she had given birth to her second child.
