Monday Night Raw raised eyebrows with some fans after Lacey Evans did not make her long-awaited return to the ring despite being advertised.
As early as May 24th, WWE’s social media account advertised Lacey Evans returning to in-ring competition for the first time in fifteen months. Evans had missed over a year due to pregnancy and then giving birth to her second child before returning to WWE television in April 2022.
With Raw taking place on the Monday of Memorial Day weekend, many fans thought Evans’ return to the ring made sense given her own military background is being played up on WWE television.
However, Lacey Evans did not compete on the show despite the advertised return to the ring, something that has not sat well with some WWE fans given the recent situation with Sasha Banks and Naomi.

WWE lambasted their now former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions for walking out on Raw with the main bone of contention from the company’s point of view seeming to be that they had walked out despite being advertised for that night’s main event. This meant WWE was unable to deliver a match that they had previously advertised to fans – something that has now happened with Lacey Evans.
The card is always subject to change in wrestling and neither WWE nor Lacey Evans have commented on why her proposed in-ring return was postponed.
