Lacey Evans has broken her silence after missing the Memorial Day edition of Monday Night Raw despite being advertised to compete.
Former NXT Superstar Lacey Evans hasn’t wrestled since February 15th 2021 where she teamed with Peyton Royce to take on Charlotte Flair and Asuka on an episode of Raw.
Shortly after this appearance, Evans announced that she was pregnant and as a result didn’t appear on WWE television for more than a year.
However, vignettes began appearing for the star in April 2022 on SmackDown where she debuted a new character, more representative of her real life persona. The star was then seemingly moved to Raw in early May after appearing live briefly on SmackDown to salute fans.
On May 24th, WWE’s social media account advertised Lacey Evans returning to in-ring competition for the first time in fifteen months. With Raw taking place on the Monday of Memorial Day weekend, many fans thought Evans’ return to the ring made sense given her own military background is being played up on WWE television.
Despite this, the star didn’t appear, something which didn’t sit well with a number of WWE fans after the company hit out at Sasha Banks and Naomi for not wrestling when they had been advertised to do so.
Over the weekend, Lacey Evans appeared as the Grand Marshall of NASCAR’s Coca-Cola 600. Posting on social media, the military veteran said that she missed raw as she was “still recovering.”

Lacey Evans signed with WWE in 2016, initially appearing in NXT and competing in the 2017 Mae Young Classic. She later became a regular feature on NXT, feuding with the likes of Kairi Sane and Dakota Kai. After losing out in her efforts to become number one contender for the NXT Women’s Championship later that year, Evans made her main roster debut in the 2019 Royal Rumble.
