LA Knight Set For “Megapush” In WWE

LA Knight Set For

Dave Meltzer dropped an intriguing piece of information regarding WWE Superstar LA Knight’s future.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, according to Meltzer, Knight is set to receive a “megapush” push in the coming months. The reason behind this decision stems from the strong ratings that segments featuring Knight have garnered, as well as his impressive merchandise sales.

Meltzer’s report highlights the growing importance of economic indicators in determining a wrestler’s success. While crowd reactions have traditionally been a significant factor in evaluating a superstar’s popularity, WWE seems to have shifted its focus towards tangible economic results, such as merchandise sales. Meltzer wrote:

Knight is expected to get a megapush going forward given that the ratings for his segments and his merchandise sales have both been very strong. The crowd reaction alone would help you but in many cases if WWE thinks it’s a fad and there isn’t economic indications they only take crowd reactions to a certain level. But with Knight, the success is across the board.

LA Knight, known for his charismatic persona, has managed to capture the attention of fans and executives alike. His segments have consistently drawn in high ratings, indicating a strong connection with the audience. Additionally, his merchandise sales have reportedly been impressive, further solidifying his potential as a marketable star.

In recent news, Vince McMahon was reportedly close to firing LA Knight.

What Did LA Knight Do At WWE Payback?

Knight was featured in a match at WWE Payback competing against The Miz, with special guest referee John Cena officiating. After the match Knight and Cena shared an exchange of words on-screen, which further emphasises the faith WWE has in Knight by featuring him with the global megastar that is Cena. While WWE and the fans believe in Knight, Hall of Famer Bully Ray is less confident.

In recent news, Eric Bischoff has labelled LA Knight as a “massive star in the waiting room” for WWE.
