NXT 2.0 stars LA Knight and Roderick Strong are both reportedly backstage ahead of Monday Night Raw.

With Royal Rumble season in full-swing, speculation continues to swirl around not only who will be appearing in the Royal Rumble match itself, but who may also be heading to the main roster.

Although call-ups have been at a premium in recent months, NXT 2.0 star Grayson Waller recently appeared on Raw, while Damian Priest made the red brand his home after a strong showing at the Rumble in 2021.

As we edge ever nearer to the 2022 edition of the event, according to PWInsider, Roderick Strong and LA Knight are backstage ahead of the ‘go-home’ edition of Raw. This comes after the pair wrestled a dark match at the most recent SmackDown taping on January 21st. On this occasion LA Knight picked up the win.

Strong, a former NXT North American Champion last competed on NXT 2.0 on January 18th where he was defeated by the man formerly known as WALTER. After the bout, the giant Austrian’s name was officially changed to Gunther.

Incidentally, it has been reported that both Gunther and NXT Champion Bron Breakker will also be in attendance at the Royal Rumble.

Back in NXT 2.0, LA Knight is currently wrapped up in a feud with Grayson Waller. Knight recently returned to the show after being put out of action by the young upstart back in December.

Earlier in January, fellow NXT stars Tommaso Ciampa and Pete Dunne also competed in a dark match on Friday Night SmackDown, while both also appeared on Main Event. During one of these appearances, Ciampa added to the speculation by dying his beard and getting rid of what had become his trademark grey streak.

It was famously reported that WWE asked Kevin Nash to dye his hair and his beard for his return in 2011 to hide the fact that he had gone grey.
