During the March 10th episode of NXT it was revealed that LA Knight will make his NXT in-ring debut on the following week’s show.
Knight has made sure his presence is felt on the black and gold brand since debuting at NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day. Since his arrival, Knight has clashed with Bronson Reed, first costing him a match against Cameron Grimes, before Reed got his revenge attacking Knight backstage more recently.
Knight formerly known as Eli Drake has previously made brief appearances with WWE but is more well known for his time in IMPACT Wrestling, where he won the IMPACT World Championship as well as the World Tag Team Titles.
The March 10th edition of NXT was one of the more headline grabbing episodes in recent months with a two-night TakeOver being announced, while the first ever NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions were also crowned.
Alongside the in-ring debut of LA Knight, the following matches have also been announced for March 17th:
- Tommaso Ciampa & Timothy Thatcher vs. Imperium (Marcel Barthel & Fabian Aichner)
- Dexter Lumis vs. Austin Theory
- Leon Ruff vs. Isaiah “Swerve” Scott
It was also revealed that Jordan Devlin will return to NXT after previously being unable to travel to the United States due to COVID-19. Devlin and Santos Escobar both declare themselves as NXT Cruiserweight Champion with Devlin defending his version of the belt on NXT UK.
After winning the title back in 2020, Devlin was almost immediately unable to travel due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In his absence, WWE held a tournament to crown a new champion, with Escobar emerging victorious.
