LA Knight just had a career-changing move in WWE.
Last year, Knight won the United States Championship from Logan Paul before dropping it to Shinsuke Nakamura and captured it again earlier this year, before losing it to Jacob Fatu. While Knight’s pursuit of the title was on SmackDown, he has now seemingly moved on to bigger things.
Following his recent fiasco with Seth Rollins in the past few months, Knight now finds himself in a Fatal Four-Way World Heavyweight Championship match at Clash in Paris, against Rollins, CM Punk, and Jey Uso.
However, while Knight was a part of the blue brand, he has now been moved to the Monday Night RAW on Netflix. As per WWE’s official superstar roster page, the 42-year-old is now officially a part of the red brand.
This is a major career-changing move for Knight, as it can now see him go after Rollins’ World Title or even Dominik Mysterio’s Intercontinental Championship.
WWE Hall Of Famer Addresses The Promotion’s Disinterest In LA Knight
A few weeks ago, on Busted Open Radio,Bully Ray addressed the Stamford-based promotion’s continued disinterest in pushing Knight despite his massive popularity amongst the fans.
I think that [WWE] really want to do something with [LA Knight]. He’s so over with the people, so if he’s that over, we need to try to give him more opportunities? I think what happens is once the bell rings, he doesn’t resonate with the audience, other than his catch-phrases.
I promise, you people, I am not saying this as a detriment or knocking LA Knight, it’s constructive criticism as to why the guy might not be going further. The emotional connection to the work is not there. When the bell rings, LA Knight loses the people, he has to find a way to become one with them,” Bully Ray said.
