Following a report from Bryan Alvarez of The Wrestling Observer, stating that Kylie Rae was pulled from last night’s IMPACT Wrestling Bound For Glory due to injury, the same outlet have now reported that is not the case.
Fightful Select report that members of the roster informed them that Kylie Rae drove to Nashville, not IMPACT officially. They continue to state that the decision to have Su Yung replace Kylie Rae was made that afternoon after nobody had heard from Kylie Rae.
Fightful also reports that “multiple wrestlers reached out to people close to Kylie out of fear for the worst, and were just told she’s alive and well” – while The Observer say no official announcement came from IMPACT as the company did not know the situation at the time.
IMPACT Wrestling had advertised Rae to appear right up to the onset of the bout. The absence comes after the loveable talent failed to appear for Black Label Pro Wrestling on October 11 after she had battled Josh Alexander the previous evening at Freelance Wrestling: I Don’t Think We’re In Chicago Anymore. The reason given for her absence on that night was unforeseen circumstances.
Whatever the situation, everyone at Inside The Ropes wishes Kylie Rae all the best.
Kylie Rae earned her spot at Bound For Glory when she outlasted Alisha Edwards, Havok, John E. Bravo, Katie Forbes, Kiera Hogan, Kimber Lee, Madison Rayne, Nevaeh, Rosemary, Susie, Tasha Steelz and Taya Valkyrie in a Gauntlet Match at Slammiversary all the way back on July 18.
Her opportunity at the gold was put on hold following the victory thanks to her participation at Wrestle House – a reality show set in an alternate universe on IMPACT Wrestling’s weekly episodes.
Su Yung defeated Deonna Purrazzo to capture the IMPACT Knockouts Championship at Bound For Glory.
