Ryan Satin of FOX Sports has confirmed that the disturbing scenes in which Kyle O’Reilly allegedly suffered a seizure live on NXT television were nothing more than storytelling.
On the February 17 edition of WWE’s black and gold brand, former Undisputed ERA leader Adam Cole doubled down on the post-match attack at NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day on February 14 with a heinous attack on his former friend and partner, Kyle O’Reilly.
Jumping the star from behind the former NXT Champion laid into him with a stunning pump kick to the skull and a sickening brain buster onto the steel steps. However, it was what occurred following the mugging that concerned fans worldwide when O’Reilly seemed to suffer a nasty seizure after falling unconscious.
Strapped to a stretcher, the former NXT Tag Team Champion was removed from ringside as an anxious Triple H looked on seemingly worried for the health of one of his stars and devotees took to Twitter in order find any update possible on the health of the talent.
Thankfully, as first reported by Ryan Satin of FOX, Kyle O’Reilly is absolutely fine and did not suffer any health repercussions as a result of the Adam Cole attack. Rather, it was merely a storytelling device – albeit a very convincing one – which wasn’t meant to appear as if he had suffered any type of medical attack.
From what I’m being told, Kyle O’Reilly did not suffer a real seizure after NXT tonight and did not suffer a medical episode. According to WWE sources, it was all just part of storyline. Happy to hear he’s okay.

I’m also told that there was no intent to make it look like he was suffering a seizure. That just spread due to what was reported back from the few fans in attendance.

Adam Cole shocked the world at the conclusion of the Finn Balor vs. Pete Dunne NXT Championship Match at NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day. Racing to the ring alongside Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong to ward off a post-match attack on the champion by The Kings of NXT, Cole first struck the Irishman with superkick before dropping O’Reilly with the same move.
