Kyle O’Reilly Hints At Impending AEW Debut

Kyle O'Reilly

Former NXT Tag Team Champion Kyle O’Reilly has seemingly teased fans with a hint that his debut in AEW could be coming sooner than later.

Kyle O’Reilly along with Johnny Gargano appears to be finished with NXT and WWE after both competing at NXT WarGames. O’Reilly unsuccessfully challenged for the NXT Tag Team Title with Von Wagner before Wagner attempted to turn on his partner but O’Reilly managed to get the better of the second-generation star.

Johnny Gargano was part of Team Black and Gold in the men’s WarGames match along with LA Knight, Pete Dunne, and Tommaso Ciampa. Those four men fell to defeat at the hands of Team 2.0 who were led by Bron Breakker in representing the newest generation of NXT stars.

O’Reilly competed one more time on NXT 2.0 where he emphatically lost a cage match against Von Wagner. After the show went off the air O’Reilly and Gargano took part in a “curtain call” as they seemingly said goodbye to their WWE careers.

At AEW Winter Is Coming O’Reilly’s former Undisputed Era partners Adam Cole and Bobby Fish appeared in a backstage interview segment with The Young Bucks. Cole was holding a box and promised his friends in The Elite:

โ€œOn the Christmas edition of AEW Dynamite next week, itโ€™s going to be the best Christmas present that you guys could ever ask for. Trust me, you guys are going to love this!โ€

Kyle O’Reilly seemingly responded to this on social media, sending out a GIF from the movie Seven where Brad Pitt famously asks “What’s in the box?”

AEW Dynamite Holiday Bash will play host to Sammy Guevara defending his TNT Championship Cody Rhodes but all eyes will be peeled for an elite reunion that would be Undisputed.
