Kurt Angles requires a pretty penny for his services.
To a lot of fans and wrestling media members, Kurt Angle is considered to be one of the greatest professional wrestlers in his particular generation. In 2019, Angle retired after partaking in his final match against Baron Corbin at WrestleMania 39 — he would lose the contest. Despite his retirement, however, there are still a lot in the world of professional wrestling that still dream of Angle making a comeback.
Kurt Angle Will Return… If You Pay Him
This isn’t the first time that Kurt Angle has talked about contract negotiations that he’s been a part of. Prior to this particular situation, Angle has been on the record before speaking on how he’s turned down offers from both WWE and AEW. With this latest AEW deal that Angle is referring to, he was offered a 10-match contract by the promotion, and he also revealed his asking price towards Tony Khan.
Recently on his “The Kurt Angle Show” podcast, the 12-time world champion put a spotlight on the fact that he wanted $300,000 per match from All Elite Wrestling, which would combine to be $3 million.
“Well, to even consider coming back, it’s going to have to be a substantial amount of money. I do remember, Tony Khan wanted me to come in and wrestle for him. This was like 4 years ago, and I said, ‘For 10 matches, I want $3 million.”
After revealing what he wanted from AEW, Kurt Angle then chucked before being interrupted by wife, Giovanna Angle, who declared that her husband would never get into the squared circle again. However, when she was asked whether or not she would let Angle wrestle for $3 million, she would jokingly say that she would wrestle for that kind of money.
Kurt Angle would undergo double knee replacement surgery back in May.
