Kurt Angle has now revealed whose brain was behind the hilarious segment from his recent appearance on Monday Night Raw.

For the August 29th edition of Monday Night Raw, WWE headed to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, home of WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle.

On the show, during a backstage interaction with Edge and Rey Mysterio, the Olympic gold medallist re-created one of his most iconic segments. The segment in question involved Edge and showing Angle some photos on cards with the WWE legend unable to see the hilarious messages on the other side.

Speaking on “The Kurt Angle Show”, the WWE Hall of Famer revealed how it was Edge who pitched the idea to do a call back to the infamous segment. Angle said:

“I did a really cool, funny pre-tape with Edge and Rey Mysterio where Edge got me again with the boards with messages on the back,

We re-enacted that from 2002 to 20 years later and it was actually Edge’s idea and it was a great idea.”

Edge pitching the topic comes to absolutely no surprise, as ever since Triple H has taken over the role of the Head of Creative in WWE, talent has reportedly been allowed way more creative freedom than in previous years.

Speaking in a recent interview ahead of his Raw appearance Angle admitted that he could yet return to the ring despite retiring from in-ring competition on 2019.
