Upon his return to WWE in 2017, Kurt Angle found himself in a storyline which involved him unknowingly fathering a WWE superstar.
The superstar turned out to be Jason Jordan, a recent NXT call-up who showed great promise as part of the beloved tag team American Alpha.
Unfortunately, the storyline never came to completion because Jordan suffered a career-ending neck injury in 2018. Still, Kurt Angle has recently revealed that he has a particularly cherished memento from the storyline.
Kurt Angle Recalls WWE Saving Him After He Lost A Heartwarming Gift From Fellow WWE Star
On an episode of his podcast, “The Kurt Angle Show,” Angle spoke about a gift he received from Jason Jordan. In a nod to the “father and son” storyline, Angle was gifted a picture of Jordan when he was seven years old.
Tragically, the photograph ended up being lost, as Kurt Angle revealed;
“Well, my son Jason Jordan, my son on TV, gave me a photo of him when he was seven years old, wrestling. It was on TV. He gave it to me.”
“I wanted to keep it and I actually forgot it at the arena. So my wife was going crazy. Like, ‘You gotta get this thing.’ I’m like, ‘Don’t worry about it, it’s just a photo of Jason.’ She’s like, ‘We have to track this down.'”
“She calls WWE and tells them that they need to track it down and go back to the arena. So, some producer from WWE actually did it and they found the photo and they sent it to us. They overnighted it to us.”
Kurt Angle’s wife Giovanna and an unnamed WWE producer were the heroes of the day. Their efforts led to Angle keeping this heartwarming gift from his storyline son.
In another recent edition of The Kurt Angle Show, Angle revealed exactly how much money it would take to bring him out of his in-ring retirement.
