Kurt Angle Provides Positive Update On Randy Orton

Randy Orton

Randy Orton has been out of action for over a year now following a back injury.

The star was last in action on the May 22nd, 2022 edition of SmackDown when he and his RK-Bro partner Matt Riddle lost the Raw Tag Team Championships to The Usos.

Since then, it has been reported that Orton had a serious back injury and underwent surgery later in the year to try to resolve the issue.

The latest update on The Viper came from his father, ‘Cowboy’ Bob Orton, in May 2023. The veteran said that, although his son was back training, doctors had advised him not to get back in the ring.

“He’s training, so we’ll see what happens; I don’t know. If he feels like he’s ready to go back, I think he might, but again he’s pretty well taken care of. I don’t think he need [sic] to. And I think the doctors have told him not to. But Randy will do what Randy wants to do.”

Kurt Angle provides update on Randy Orton’s status

On the latest episode of The Kurt Angle Show, the Olympic Gold Medallist was discussing his bout against Orton at Vengeance in 2006.

During the discussion, Angle gave a much more optimistic update on Orton’s condition, going as far as to say we’ll see him back in action “pretty damn soon.”

“Doing good man. He recovered from his back surgery. He’s, I think he’s gonna come back pretty damn soon. He’s doing much better, yes.”
