Towards the end of his first run in WWE, Kurt Angle was part of the ECW brand and embroiled in a feud with Randy Orton.
At the time, Orton was part of the Rated-RKO tag team alongside Edge and his then-onscreen partner Lita.
This led to Angle teaming with ECW stalwart Rob Van Dam to take the pair on in tag team action. The bout was held under ECW rules, meaning there were no disqualifications, giving Lita ample opportunity to get involved with proceedings.
Kurt Angle says Lita “never missed a spot”
The Olympic Gold Medallist looked back on that time in his career during the latest edition of The Kurt Angle Show.
When he was reminded that he hit the four-time Women’s Champion with an Angle Slam, the Hall of Famer praised the star for always being a professional before adding that she was so easy to work with that hitting his finisher “was nothing.”
“Lita was a professional. She never missed a spot when she worked with the Hardys. She was always there at the right times. And you know Lita was easy to work with so hitting her with the Angle Slam was nothing.”
Angle finished up with the company a few weeks after his rivalry with Orton ended. During the same edition of his podcast, he told the story of how he showed Vince McMahon his balls before quitting the company.
