Kurt Angle Discusses “Amazing” Surprise Performance Of WrestleMania 38

Kurt Angle

Kurt Angle is no stranger to putting on a WrestleMania spectacle but now he has named one WWE Superstar who was the surprise standout from WrestleMania 38.

For many WrestleMania 38 more than lived up to its tagline of the “most stupendous two-night event in WrestleMania history.” Bianca Belair walked away as the Raw Women’s Champion, Stone Cold Steve Austin rolled back the years with Kevin Owens and Vince McMahon, and Roman Reigns emerged from Dallas, Texas as the Unified WWE Universal Champion.

For WWE Hall Of Famer Kurt Angle, however, there was one stand-out star from the event that took the Olympic gold medallist by surprise. Speaking on The Kurt Angle Show, Angle paid tribute to the incredible display put on by SmackDown announcer, Pat McAfee:

“Pat McAfee was the surprise performance at WrestleMania. I would’ve never expected him to do what he did, that was pretty amazing, especially for a non-wrestler.”

“That jump to the top rope was impressive, and then the superplex? Wow! He has some good leaps, he’s a great athlete.”
