WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle has revealed the current WWE Superstar he wanted to manage if given the opportunity.
Kurt Angle was a guest on the ‘Pancakes & Powerslams podcast‘ when he was asked who he would love to manage. The multi-time WWE Champion was quick to give his answer of fellow Olympic Gold Medallist Gable Steveson.
“Oh, Gable Stevenson! Olympic gold medalist! That would be an easy one!”
He went on to heap praise on Steveson, saying he believes the recent Raw draft pick will be “a big player in the game”.
“I think Gable Steveson is going to be a big player in the game. I really think he is going to catch on, especially if he catches on from a… what would I call that? A charisma perspective, you know, a personality/character perspective. If he gets that, the sky is the limit with this guy.”
WWE announced that Gable Steveson had signed their first-ever ‘NIL’ (Name, Image, Likeness) deal on September 9th. As part of the exclusive agreement, the reigning NCAA wrestling champion will be able to defend that title for the University of Minnesota while also joining the WWE roster.
On the latest WWE Draft, Steveson was a surprise addition to the Raw roster, meaning that he will forego the usual route through NXT that most new signees take.
