Kurt Angle Jokingly Takes A Shot At Conor McGregor Over UFC 264 Injury
Kurt Angle won an Olympic gold medal with a broken freakin’ neck don’t you know?
Something the WWE Hall of Famer chose to remind the world of in light of MMA star Conor McGregor breaking his leg at UFC 264.
At the event McGregor had been aiming to overcome Dustin Poirier in the latest of their trilogy of fights. The pair had one win each going into what was meant to be the deciding encounter.
However, during the bout McGregor suffered a broken leg at the end of the first round. The victory was subsequently awarded to Poirier. It was later confirmed that the Irish star suffered fractures both his left tibia and fibia. Immediately after the fight, McGregor vowed to return and avenge his latest defeat.
Reacting to the news, Kurt Angle joked that he breaks his ankles all the time. Before reminding the world that he won an Olympic gold medal with a broken neck.

It has since been reported that McGregor will be unable to fight before the turn of the year.
Away from UFC, WWE Hall of Famer Angle, recently revealed that he is “extreme pain all day” following his punishing wrestling career.
Speaking during a Q&A on Ad Free Shows, Angle revealed that he is in âextreme painâ all day long as a result of his punishing career. The former WWE Champion explained that he has to work on his body for âtwo to threeâ hours a day, adding that heâs pretty banged up.
Kurt Angle retired from active competition at WrestleMania 35, before going on to work backstage with WWE as a producer. Angle was released by WWE in April 2020 as part of cost-cutting measures due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
