Kurt Angle Confirms A Movie About His Life Is In The Works; Reveals His Role

Kurt Angle

Kurt Angle will serve as an advisor on a film about his life and WWE Hall of Fame career.

After being retired at the hands of Baron Corbin at WrestleMania 35, Kurt Angle hasn’t returned to life inside the squared circle. Angle has been open about his chronic pain from his years inside the ring, and the star has turned to another form of entertainment in his post-wrestling days.

Speaking on the True Geordie podcast, Angle spoke about dabbling in the world of movies, having taken on a number of roles in the past year. He also revealed plans for a film about his life, saying he expects the film to start production in 2024.

“What I do now is, I dabble in movies. I got a movie coming up in January. I just did a movie last March. I do some of that. I got a movie we’re doing about my life story, which we’re gonna start filming probably next year. It should be a pretty cool thing. I’ll be able to help out with it, be an advisor, which is kind of cool. So I’m looking forward to that.” (h/t Fightful)

Kurt Angle Will Need Fusion Surgery In The Future

Speaking on a September episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, Kurt Angle opened up about struggling with motor skills due to atrophy. He admitted that he will eventually need to undergo fusion surgery.

“I always had problems with my motor skills in my hands. I broke my neck four more times in the WWE and it got worse and worse. I mean, I have nerve damage in my neck. I lost three inches in both arms and they atrophied because my neck was just so messed up. I’ve had five surgeries and none of them have really worked. I’m going to end up having to have fusion which will be down the line.” (h/t WrestlingNews.co)
