Booker T Shocks Everyone by Walking Out of WWE LFG Season Premiere

The first season of Legends and Future Greats (LFG) was a smash hit, delivering breakout performances and emotional storylines. Booker T and The Undertaker’s team emerged victorious last time around — but apparently, that wasn’t enough to keep Booker satisfied.

Season 2 of LFG brought some changes, most notably with Michelle McCool replacing Mickie James as one of the coaches. The format also received an overhaul: every week, coaches earn a point if one of their team members is named as a standout performer. This new competitive edge raised the stakes for the legends themselves.

Tensions were high on the season premiere, especially with bragging rights on the line. Shawn Michaels decided that McCool, making her debut as a coach, deserved the first two draft picks. She went on to select P Nasty and Anthony Luke — and that was enough to set Booker T off.

Seemingly frustrated with last season’s outcome and feeling slighted by the early picks, the former World Heavyweight Champion lost his cool. Booker T openly voiced his displeasure before storming off set entirely, labeling the situation as “bulls**t.” The other WWE legends looked genuinely shocked as the episode ended on a tense cliffhanger.

With no official updates on his status, it’s unclear what Booker T’s walkout will mean for the rest of the season. Given that Booker was already being positioned as the most competitive and fiery coach in Season 1, fans can surely expect him to return — and probably with a lot to say.

For now, all eyes are on the next episode to see what happens after this dramatic exit. The implications of Booker T’s actions could impact not only his team, but the future of LFG itself.

WWE Continues to Bolster Its Roster as Multi-Time Champion Reportedly Signs

WWE has been on a signing spree this year — and it looks like they’ve secured another major international talent.

Earlier this year, WWE sent shockwaves through the wrestling world by announcing its acquisition of AAA. The partnership between the two legendary promotions has already produced crossover events like Worlds Collide, with several lucha libre standouts impressing officials.

One of those names is Psycho Clown, a long-tenured star who hails from the famed Alvarado Dynasty — one of Mexico’s most celebrated wrestling families. The 39-year-old, who’s wrestled since 2000, has had prominent runs in AAA, CMLL, and TNA, and most recently appeared at Worlds Collide earlier this month. On that show, he teamed with Pagano and El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. in a losing effort against Legado del Fantasma.

According to Bodyslam’s Cory Hays, WWE has secured Psycho Clown on a full-time contract. Hays reports that the masked brawler will no longer accept independent bookings past August 2025, which points to his commitment to WWE going forward.

While nothing is officially confirmed, Psycho Clown is expected to report to the WWE Performance Center once his outside obligations are fulfilled. It’s unclear if WWE will send him to NXT for a developmental stint or debut him directly on RAW or SmackDown, but interest in him from company higher-ups is substantial.

This signing follows WWE’s ongoing strategy of bringing AAA talent into the fold. With more signings likely on the horizon, Psycho Clown looks poised to make his mark on WWE television sooner rather than later.

Tiffany Stratton

Tiffany Stratton Has a Point to Prove

Tiffany Stratton WWE

Tiffany Stratton and Nia Jax have been at odds for quite some time — and now they’ll finally get to settle the score. On this week’s episode of SmackDown, Stratton will put her WWE Women’s Championship on the line in a Last Woman Standing Match against the former Queen of the Ring winner.

Stratton appeared on the SummerSlam Kickoff Show to hype up the August PLE and WWE’s upcoming trip to Saudi Arabia. On the show, Michael Cole asked why she chose to face her arch-rival under such brutal stipulations. The champion explained that she’s tired of hearing Jax say she isn’t on her level and is determined to prove otherwise.

“For some reason, Nia Jax said that I am not as good as her. So this Friday, I finally stick it to her that I am just as good, if not better,” Stratton declared.

Mick Foley

WWE Legend Mick Foley Lays Out Plans for Final Retirement Tour and What Comes After

Mick Foley Details The Number One Reason Why He Is Very Gratfeul For AEW

WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley has had one of the most brutal and iconic careers in professional wrestling. Though he still appears occasionally, Foley has never officially retired. But that looks set to change.

During a conversation on D-Von Dudley’s YouTube channel, Foley reflected on his legendary Hell in a Cell match with The Undertaker, where he famously lost a tooth — a tooth he still hasn’t fixed because of its sentimental value.

However, Foley revealed that after his final tour, that tooth is finally going to get repaired. The wrestling icon shared that he intends to hit the road one last time in 2028, his 30th year in the business, calling it the “30 Years of Hell Tour.” After that, he plans to fully hang up his boots for good.

“I might wait until I’m 63 — 30 years of hell — I’m going to go back out on the road again for one final tour in 2028, the 30 Years of Hell Tour,” Foley explained. “And the idea is to hang it up completely, fix my teeth, maybe start wearing nice clothes so no one knows who I am and just disappear into the night.”

You can watch the entire conversation on D-Von Dudley’s YouTube channel starting at the 10:14 mark.

With this big announcement, Foley’s fans now have something significant to look forward to — one last chance to celebrate a true hardcore legend. The retirement tour promises to be the perfect send-off for one of wrestling’s most unforgettable performers.

AEW’s Buddy Matthews Shares Heartbreaking Injury Update

Buddy Matthews

Fans have long been calling for Buddy Matthews to receive a singles push in AEW. The Australian powerhouse was finally on the cusp of that breakout moment when he was scheduled to face Kazuchika Okada for the Continental Championship at Grand Slam Australia. However, things took a devastating turn.

Matthews suffered an ankle injury at the very beginning of the match after a bad landing during his entrance. Despite the pain, he soldiered on and completed the bout.

Back in April, Matthews assured fans that he hadn’t broken his ankle, but had sustained a partial ligament tear and cartilage damage — hoping to return to the ring quickly. Unfortunately, that hasn’t gone according to plan.

Since April, the AEW star has kept relatively quiet on his condition, only sharing glimpses of his gym workouts. That left fans hopeful for a quick return. However, an excerpt from a recent Instagram Live session revealed some troubling news — the injury isn’t healing as expected.

“The ankle is not recovering as well as I thought it would,” Matthews explained. “There’s no mobility to it; if I can’t have mobility, I can’t move properly. Once it hits 3 months without healing, it becomes chronic. … I thought I’d be back in the ring in April.”

Here at ITR Wrestling, we wish Buddy Matthews a smooth and speedy recovery.

Undertaker

The Undertaker Teases Creative Role

The Undertaker will forever have a special place in the WWE Universe. Despite stepping away from in-ring action, “The Phenom” remains closely involved with WWE behind the scenes — and there’s a strong chance that role could grow.

Amid ongoing rumors that Undertaker may join WWE’s Creative Team, the legendary Superstar recently spoke with Sports Illustrated’s The Takedown to shed light on his future in the company. The Deadman confirmed that he’s had conversations with WWE officials about moving into a more creative capacity.

“Yeah, I have discussed it,” Undertaker said. “I’ve been involved in some meetings and just try to get a feel where — my schedule is really crazy — and the amount of time and the difficulty of booking TV shows is incredibly difficult. I don’t think people realize how difficult it is to come up with ideas, implement them, think five months down the road, have to deal with the talent and making sure they’re good with things, talent days off, and trying to interweave all of that is incredibly difficult.”

Undertaker, who has been working closely with up-and-coming WWE Superstars at the Performance Center and coaching on WWE’s LFG, also shared his thoughts on Liv Morgan and the current crop of talent. The Deadman’s passion for mentoring the next generation is evident, especially as he eyes a more hands-on future that could shape WWE’s creative landscape for years to come.

Dominik Mysterio

Dirty Dominik Mysterio Recently Recreated an Iconic Moment with a WWE Legend

Dominik Mysterio isn’t exactly one of WWE’s most beloved Superstars. Throughout his career in the Stamford-based promotion, the 28-year-old “Dirty Dom” has attracted far more boos than cheers — a reaction that he seems to thrive on. However, that’s just the character he plays. Away from the bright lights and loud jeers, Mysterio is still the same kid who grew up watching his father, Rey Mysterio, tear up the squared circle every week.

That nostalgic side of him recently showed when he recreated an iconic childhood moment with WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus. In a new photo posted online, Mysterio and Stratus posed together just like they did years ago — only this time, Dom is all grown up and carrying the Intercontinental Championship.

The original image features a very shy, young Dominik in Stratus’ arms. In the recreation, the roles were reversed as Trish, still looking as fit as ever, effortlessly carried a grinning Dom.

It’s always heartwarming to see these kinds of throwback moments shared by WWE Superstars — a reminder that under the persona, they’re just fans who never stopped loving the sport.

Goldberg

Goldberg Allegedly Refused to Lose to WWE Hall of Famer Scott Steiner, Says Vince Russo

"Lucky Not To End Up In Hospital": Former WWE Star Looks Back On Match With Goldberg

Goldberg is one of the biggest icons in wrestling history, enjoying immense success in both WCW and WWE. After reaching Hall of Fame status, he is preparing for one final match against Gunther at Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 12. However, a surprising story about his past recently resurfaced.

Former WWE head writer Vince Russo revealed on TheCoach and Bro Show that Goldberg once refused to do the honors for fellow Hall of Famer Scott Steiner.

“I am going back 25 years,” Russo said. “This is when the guy is in his prime. I needed Goldberg to do a job to Scott Steiner for the title. Goldberg refused to do it.

So I said, ‘Bill, why?’ He looked at me and said, ‘If this were a shoot, I would kick Scott Steiner’s a**.’ And I told him, ‘Bill, I’ll tell you what. Scott is standing right over there. You go tell that to Steiner and see what he tells you.’”

According to Russo, Goldberg was convinced that Steiner would never beat him in a real fight — an attitude that ultimately caused friction backstage.

With his final match approaching and a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship still on the table, it will be interesting to see if Goldberg can close his career on a high note this Saturday.

KSI Has WWE Request Shut Down Due To AEW Links

KSI Logan Paul

WWE is making its stance on AEW clear — and recently denied a request to use a legendary AEW star’s theme song at one of their events.

During a recent vlog, popular YouTuber and Logan Paul’s close friend KSI revealed that he approached WWE to use Christian Cage’s theme music during an entrance at a WWE Fanatics event.

Christian, who had iconic entrances during his WWE career — most notably to the song “Just Close Your Eyes” and earlier hits like “Take Over” — is currently a top star and head of The Patriarchy faction in AEW.

KSI explained that WWE shot the idea down without much discussion:

“I asked for Christian’s theme tune and they said no.”

This move fits WWE’s recent trend of distancing itself from AEW and its talent. The company recently refused to feature AEW star MJF in the Happy Gilmore 2 trailer during RAW, making it clear they intend to minimize outside promotions on WWE programming.

KSI ended up settling for the iconic theme of WWE Hall of Famer, The Rattlesnake, Steve Austin.

Meanwhile, Christian Cage’s AEW run continues to thrive. Rumors suggest he may even align with Edge (now going by “Cope”) at AEW’s All In in July.
