Kris Statlander is set to make her return to in-ring action on AEW Dynamite following nearly eleven months on the shelf with a knee injury.
‘The Galaxy’s Favourite Alien’ made her stunning return during the Arcade Anarchy match on the 31st of March edition of Dynamite. Popping out of a claw machine, Statlander took out Penelope Ford at ringside during the brawl.
Kris Statlander had her last match took place in June 2020. She teamed with AEW Women’s Champion Hikaru Shida in a defeat to Ford and Nyla Rose. She suffered an ACL injury in her knee which has kept her out of action until now.
Statlander’s return will come on the 14th of April episode of AEW Dynamite. There is no word yet as to who Statlander will face on but her new Best Friends – Cassidy, Taylor and another returnee, Trent are sure to be close by.
Also announced for Dynamite is Inner Circle’s Chris Jericho facing The Pinnacle’s Dax Harwood one-on-one. ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson will be the special enforcer for that match. A role Tyson is familiar with after fulfilling those duties at WrestleMania XIV in 1998.
Dary Allin defends his TNT Championship against Matt Hardy in a Falls Count Anywhere match. The Hardy Family Office and Sting are sure to be keeping a close eye on the bout for the title.
Jade Cargill faces off with her rival Red Velvet in singles competition. The two women previously faced off in a tag team match on Dynamite. Velvet teamed with Cody Rhodes while Cargill teamed with NBA legend Shaq. Cargill and Shaq won the match when Jade pinned Velvet.
British Olympic bronze medal boxer Anthony Ogogo makes his in-ring AEW debut on Dynamite as well. ‘The Guv’nor’ joined QT Marshall, Aaron Solow and Nick Comoroto in turning their back on Cody Rhodes and the rest of the Nightmare Family.
