Konnan Criticises “Very Un-Entertaining” Stokely Hathaway

Stokely Hathaway & The Firm

Konnan has claimed that Stokely Hathaway is “un-entertaining,” adding that The Firm just look like an incohesive unit.

After being released by WWE in April 2022 many fans had high hopes for Stokely Hathaway. The general feeling was that the star hadn’t been used to his full potential by WWE, but was now being given a chance to show the world what he could do.

Hathaway then debuted with AEW at Double or Nothing joining forces with undefeated TBS Champion Jade Cargill, getting rid of ‘Smart’ Mark Sterling in the process.

However, the former Malcom Bivens later moved away from Cargill and has now been established as leader of The Firm. A group designed to have the back of MJF at any given moment. This role was solidified at All Out, where the faction interrupted the Casino Ladder Match enabling MJF to win and secure a shot at the AEW World Championship.

Speaking in a new interview with Wrestling Inc’s Nick Hausman, WCW legend Konnan took issue with Hathaway. The veteran described him as “un-entertaining” and questioned why he has so much TV time. Konnan then extended his critique to the rest of The Firm, explaining that the group feels disjointed.

“Think of the panorama I just threw you,” he said. “Lee Moriarty, W. Morrisey, the Gunn Brothers, and Ethan Page. Think of that crew in your mind. Do any guys look like they would actually hang out with each other?”

Konnan added that he is not “anti-Stokely” in any way, instead he’s simply critiquing his work.
