Konnan Calls On WWE To Release Bray Wyatt

Bray Wyatt

Konnan claims WWE should release Bray Wyatt.

Speculation around Bray Wyatt continues to swirl with the star still missing from WWE television. Wyatt rejoined WWE in October 2022 amid a wave of fan support but has only wrestled once since, meaning he’s had one match since being defeated by Randy Orton at WrestleMania 37.

The match in question was a victory over LA Knight at the Royal Rumble in the divisive Mountain Dew Pitch Black Match. A month later the star began a feud with Bobby Lashley but things never really got going as Wyatt was absent from television, when it became clear he wouldn’t be back any time soon, the angle was scrapped altogether.

Wyatt’s absence is reportedly due to an undisclosed illness, but there has been no official word from WWE or the man himself.

Speaking on his K100 podcast about the star, Konnan explained that while he’s a fan of Wyatt, he’s proven to be more trouble than he’s worth.

“I’m a big Bray Wyatt fan but he’s too much trouble,” Konnan said. “His matches aren’t good and as creative as he is, $3 million for what he’s doing?” Konnan asked. “Yeah, get rid of him.”

Has Bray Wyatt Been Cleared To Return?

A recent report revealed that despite his lengthy absence, Bray Wyatt hasn’t been cleared by WWE to return to the ring. Wyatt hasn’t been seen in person on WWE television since the night before Elimination Chamber when he challenged the winner of the match between Lashley and Brock Lesnar.
