WWE Superstar Kofi Kingston gave huge praise for NXT star, Sol Ruca’s amazing display of athleticism to escape elimination from a recent Battle Royal match.
Kingston knows a thing or two about staying in over-the-top elimination matches. Over the years he has used everything from chairs, pancakes and other WWE Superstars to avoid being eliminated from many Royal Rumble matches.
At New Year’s Evil, the Women’s No.1 Contender Battle Royal resulted in a shocking finish, but also provided fans with a brilliant spot that went viral on social media.
During the match, eventual winners Jacy Jayne and Gigi Dolin of Toxic Attraction attempted to eliminate Sol Ruca. However, she proceeded to avoid both feet from touching the floor with an impressive hand walk before returning to the ring.

The inventive spot went viral across social media platforms resulting in Kingston reacting to her spectacular ringside antics. The New Day member wrote “Bruh…she is incredible! SUPER Athlete!”
Ruca is no stranger to going viral. She took social media by storm last year with footage of her jaw-dropping finishing move. On the December 9th episode of NXT Level Up, Ruca went one-on-one with Valentina Feroz.
The match ended when Ruca hit an astonishing move where she flipped herself from the top rope to hit an inward Cutter on her opponent. Videos of the move were everywhere and drew the attention of Triple H who wrote “Future is SO bright.”
Speaking to FOX News about the popularity of the move, Ruca said,
“When I saw that [Triple H’s response], I literally didn’t even know what to do. I was like, ‘Oh my God, do I reply to him? Do I quote tweet?’ Like, I was freaking out. It’s insane. Especially it being on Level Up, which is like the development of NXT. It was crazy. I did not expect it to go viral. I was shocked.”
Ruca, whose real name is Calyx Hampton, is a champion gymnast who has only been wrestling for a short period of time. She was signed to a developmental deal and reported to the Performance Center after being successful in her try-out in March 2022.
