Kofi Kingston is one of WWE’s most decorated Superstars. His long list of titles and achievements is one of the finest in the company’s history.
Most recently alongside his longtime partner Xavier Woods, he captured the NXT Tag Team Championships. The duo defeated Pretty Deadly at Deadline in December. The New Day pair held the titles for 56 days before losing them to Gallus in a Fatal Four Way bout at Vengeance Day in February.
Since the loss, Woods and Kingston have returned to their winning ways, defeating The Judgment Dayโs Damian Priest and Dominik Mysterio. Then during the March 5th edition of SmackDown, the former WWE Champion threw his name into the Intercontinental Championship scene.
The episode saw Drew McIntyre challenge the IC Champion, GUNTHER to a match. However, McIntyre’s partner Sheamus confronted him declaring the challenge is his to make. The former Banger Bros. argued over who had the best claim to the title before several other Superstars made their way out to the ring.
LA Knight, Kingston, Woods, and Karrion Kross, all staked their claim to a title match, which of course led to a wild brawl. The melee saw all five Superstars go after one another and left Kingston on the injured list.
Following the show, the Wrestling Observer reported that Kingston suffered a legitimate leg injury during the segment. However, no further details surrounding the injury were provided.
Now the man himself has taken to social media to drop fans an update regarding his leg. The former Tag Team Champion posted a video of him chilling out in front of a luxurious pool with a bandaged right foot along with the caption.
