Kofi Kingston – “I Don’t Know If Randy Orton Is Coming Back”

Randy Orton has been out of action since the May 20th episode of Friday Night SmackDown. On the show, Orton and his RK-Bro partner Matt Riddle in defeat to The Usos as they attempted to win the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships.

After the match, the pair were attacked by The Bloodline, and Orton has been missing in action since. A month later it was reported that the star had been struggling with a back injury, that had been progressively worse.

Meanwhile, it has recently been suggested that those within WWE are becoming increasingly concerned about the severity of the injury.

Kofi Kingston Is Unsure Of Randy Orton’s Status

Appearing on the Ten Count with NBC Sports Boston Kingston broke down his dream Survivor Series team to do battle in WarGames. The former WWE Champion named Bray Wyatt, Carmelo Hayes & Trick Williams and Braun Strowman as people he would like to have on his team before turning his attention to The Viper.

Kingston said that he would like to call on the services of Randy Orton but he’s unsure whether he’s coming back to WWE. While this comment could be taken to mean Orton might not be back before Survivor Series, it’s also possible that the New Day star meant he might not be back at all.

“I don’t know if [Randy] Orton is coming back, but I’d put Randy on my team,” Kingston said. “You know, The Viper and the experience factor.”

During the conversation, Kofi Kingston also discussed his famous defeat to Brock Lesnar back in 2019. Kingston’s reign as WWE Champion came to an end in just seven seconds as he was demolished by The Beast. However, the tag team star explained that he doesn’t like to dwell on the match or the reasons behind it.
