King Of The Ring & Queen’s Crown Finalists Set After SmackDown

King Of The Ring Queen's Crown

The 2021 King Of The Ring and Queen’s Crown winners are a step closer to coronation with two WWE Superstars making the tournament finals on SmackDown.

The 8-person tournaments kicked off on the 9th of October SmackDown with Finn Balor defeating Cesaro and Sami Zayn defeating Rey Mysterio to reach the semi-finals of the King Of The Ring.

With SmackDown emanating from The Golden State, Balor and Zayn met one on one to see which star would make it as SmackDown’s representative in the final which is due to be held at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia.

In the end, it was the Irishman Balor who still has the chance of being crowned in the Middle East after he defeated Zayn after delivering a vicious Coup De Grace.

Balor will now face either former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal or sentimental fan’s favourite Xavier Woods for the chance to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Bret Hart, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and Triple H in winning the King Of The Ring tournament.

In the Queen’s Crown Tournament which also kicked off on the 8th of October SmackDown Carmella defeated Liv Morgan while Zelina Vega bested Toni Storm to make the semi-final. When the two women clashed for a place in the final on SmackDown it was Zelina Vega that came out on top.

Vega will be hoping to take the Queen’s Crown back to her hometown of Queens, New York from Saudi Arabia where she will face Shayna Baszler or Doudrop in the final.
