Kevin Dunn is expected by many within WWE to leave the company following the departures of both Vince McMahon and John Laurinaitis.

Amidst the numerous WWE executive changes, these could be set to continue with news that Kevin Dunn could be leaving the promotion.

Per Fightful Select, there are rampant and unconfirmed rumours” floating around backstage at tonight’s Friday Night SmackDown taping that Dunn could leave in the wake of Vince McMahon retiring. As it stands, these are simply unconfirmed rumours among talent backstage; nothing is yet official.

Kevin Dunn is currently the Executive Vice President of Television Production at WWE and a member of the Board of Directors. Dunn was hired by Vince McMahon in the mid-1980s, working his way up from being an Associate Producer. Alongside Bruch Prichard, Dunn is reportedly the point of contact for tonight’s SmackDown.

He has been consistently ridiculed for his constant and unnecessary camera cuts to the extent that, during SmackDown’s debut on FOX in October 2019, the network reportedly took control over the ‘Dunnisms’ to provide a less-jarring experience. They have, however, since returned.

The executive changes this week started with Triple H being named the Executive Vice President of Talent Relations, taking over from John Laurinaitis after he was removed from the position and temporarily replaced by Bruce Prichard. The former Johnny Ace had been named in the investigations against Vince McMahon.

Vince himself has now also retired, with Stephanie McMahon taking over as official Chairwoman and co-CEO alongside Nick Khan. Stephanie had already been in the role for a month, albeit in the interim, after Vince stepped back amidst the aforementioned allegations of misconduct.
