Ahead of their WarGames match against Roman Reigns and The Bloodline at Survivor Series on November 27th, the Brawling Brutes and Drew McIntyre opened the latest episode of SmackDown.
After McIntyre acknowledged that the group was outnumbered by The Bloodline, Sami Zayn interrupted to guarantee victory for his team. However, Sheamus revealed that there would be a fifth member of the Brawling Brutes, and it was someone Zayn would least suspect.
Later in the show, Butch defeated Zayn in the first round of the SmackDown World Cup. The real story happened outside the ring as the rest of the two men’s factions couldn’t wait until Survivor Series to battle it out.
After the bout, Roman Reigns entered the fray, attacking everyone on his way to down the ramp before confronting his longtime rival Drew McIntyre in the ring and the two fought it out.
The fifth member of Sheamus’ team was then revealed to be none other than Kevin Owens, who appeared to a monster reaction from the crowd and made his own way through the melee to go toe-to-toe with Reigns. In the end, Kevin Owens was able to hit a Stunner on The Tribal Chief to end the show.
