Ahead of his monumental clash with ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin 19 years after the Texas Rattlesnake’s last match in WWE, Kevin Owens has opened up about how he found out he’d be stepping in the ring with the Bionic Redneck.
While there’s no news on whether the segment will take the form of an official match, Kevin Owens is set to join an elite club of WWE Superstars who have had WrestleMania moments with WWE Hall of Famer ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin, and ‘The Prizefighter’ has revealed just how it all came about in an exclusive interview with Inside The Ropes‘ very own Kenny McIntosh:
“Well, subdued. Very gleeful, but subdued. You know, I’m not trying to you know, try to keep it together because obviously, I’m trying to remain professional in the sense. But man, who wouldn’t flip out in a way, you know what I mean?”
Former Universal Champion Kevin Owens went on to say…
“It’s really quite unimaginable if you really think about it. It’s been you know, Steve [Austin] has been here once, once or twice since 2003, but never in this capacity, never with that kind of fanfare going into it and never at WrestleMania at this stage in the way it’s going to take shape. So it’s really incredible to be a part of it. There’s really no other way to put it.”
